current information about Verasphere happenings and events For pictures from our ongoing Mrs,Vera's Daybook Series ,and articles about the work go to our Mrs. Vera's DaybookSeries-photographs Here is a fun article from the SF Weekly done during our 2008 exhibition of photos and clothing at CIIS (California Institute of Integral Studies) About us: The character, Mrs. Vera was created by Michael Johnstone and his partner David Faulk and named after the popular designer of scarves. Mrs. Veras costumes embody fragments of a drag memory tornado says Johnstone. She wears accessories created by Faulk from recycled objects and is also the keeper of wigs and artifacts from Johnstones lost culture . In public, Mrs. Vera (David Faulk) and Johnstone (Mister Tina) act as ambassadors at events and festivals to remind people to value difference and celebrate the eccentric aspects of daily life. They often engage friends to participate in group performances under the name of Verasphere In particular their annual march with the San Francisco LGBTQ Pride Parade .
